I am relieved to have finally found a boot-fitter in the area who takes the time to fit me properly and has incredible attention to detail while doing so, thanks to Stance Performance Fitting, after many years, multiple boots, and a lot of money.

After a quick 3D scan of my foot, Kai found the problem and the solutions. He supported my arch with a custom footbed and did a couple grinds to make my 26.5 boot fit perfectly, instead of sizing me up to accommodate my toes. I never raced FIS due to injuries as a teenager, but I coached for going on 11 years and always kept my skiing up. After finally getting a pair of race boots properly setup for the first time ever and feeling a new confidence on my skis, I competed in the Osler Bluff Club Championships and placed 1st in the GS. My new fit in my race boots was a huge factor and confidence booster and gave me that last bit of performance I was missing. I’ve been enjoying the boots so much they are now the only boot I use even with my 92 and 100mm underfoot skis!

Kai immediately gave me the proper time and attention that I needed, even though I was not a big-name ski racer. And he happily worked on my Atomic boots even though they don’t carry them. I believe that is the difference when choosing Stance. They simply do their job to give you a good fitting experience. I grew up in the Jozo Weider Race program from ages 9 to 16 before becoming a coach for three years. After going through the Stance Performance Fitting process and skiing a fitted boot for the first time as an adult, I realized what I had been missing as an athlete racer. My skiing improved tenfold.
